sukha bhava (dwadashant)

In tantra 12 bhava (emotions which repersant the 4th chakra) also practiced for sublimation. Sukha bhava is one of them(according to vigyana bhairav tantra). Sukha means happiness. Any action which gives pleasure leads to bliss by some techniques of CSV. The most famous is tantric sex.

It is a very sacred science of sex which sublimates the whole psychology and energy configuration. There are 16 mudra practices for it and it may raise Kundalini Shakti. Budha tradition has a very specific sadhna of this tantra.

CSV has six ways to do this.

Dwadashant Meditation Practice Part 1

So, which chakra do you need to energize? If you need to work on any chakra from the 3rd thru 6th, then try this meditation practice. Pick your chakra and follow the directions listed below.
  • from your starting point (the chakra you have chosen) visulize that you are inhaling and exhaling from this chakra - 5 minutes
  • now, visulize the breath originating 12 finger lengths directly in front of the chosen chakra, it moves into the chakra and on the exhale it moves into the chakra below
  • now, reverse; the next breath originates in the lower chakra and moves up into your chosen chakra and on the exhale returns to the point outside of the body 12 finger lengths in front of your chosen chakra
  • continue this visulization with breathing in both directions for 15 minutes
  • now continue the breathing, but change your visulization to create a triangle between the 3 breathing points (chosen chakra, 12 finger lengths in front and the lower chakra) this is the yantra for chakra energization.
  • visulize light particles in the triangle, moving in a circle between the points (psychic passage) 5 minutes
  • merge your consciousness with the movement of the light particles -10 minutes
  • during this practice if your body wants to move or rock back and forth, let it happen
  • Enjoy the Vilas of Chitta and Shakti!

What is Dwadashant? Inquiring minds want to know

Hey after a long time once again!!!!

A lot of queries about 'Dwadashant' in breathing meditation of CSV...

Dwadashant means: 'end of 12' generally 12 finger lengths... and also the 12 matra(syllables), and the sub-chakras(energy centers) and sometimes the space between spanda(vibration).

Every chakra has 8 dwadashant, that is 12 finger lengths in 8 directions. Why speak about the chakras? Because there are several different opinions in different traditions about the selection of a "central base chakra" for sadhana. In sadhna we generally use only agya, vishudhi, anahat and manipur (the 3rd thru the 6th chakras). We'll look more closely at this in the next few days.

There are so many meditations on breath... as vipassana(Buddhist meditation), anapan sati yoga(Buddhist meditation), Pranayama(astanga yoga), Pranavidya(upanishada)....and many more.

Before I start a play with this knowledge (budhi vilas), I want to wish you all a very happy HOLI. It is a festival of colors... but yes for me it has a special yogic meaning... ho + li, ho means become and li means already, ie; already became like that(God). It is just an statement of sadhaka(practitioner) as he realised the God. The Sadhaka is actually colored with the love of God. To express it outside this a traditional play with color in India. People forget the actual meaning.

What is the Natural Rhythm of Breathing?

The rhythm of your breath is directly related to your psychology. Wow, really?! In addition, your physical conditions can also affect your rhythm; ie. lung congestion, asthma, exercise, sexual activities, etc.

When you are watching your breath, try to become aware of your psychology at the same time. How? Watch your thoughts, emotions, and the function of ego...

What is the function of ego? and how do I recognize it? When you analyze your spontaneous thoughts you can easily understand your existing emotion behind those thoughts. The satisfaction level of this existing emotion is dependant upon your functional ego. So by this way you can begin to understand the function of ego.....

hmmmmm...any comments?

Dimensions Expanded

Let's look at the dimensions of breath. . .
  • the touch and temperature of breath
  • the length and rhythm of breath
  • the swara (dominant nostril)
  • the tattwa (element) of breath
  • the dwadashant (psychic centers) of breath
  • the psychic passage of breath
  • the naad (sound) of the breath
  • the prakash (light) and matrika (the letter of the alphabet) of breath
  • the changes of the functions of koshas (layers)
  • the relationship between vahyakash (external world) and antrakash (internal world) in terms of prana (energy)
  • and 41 more other dimensions of breath, which are very subtle and will be discussed later

Enjoy and observe the dimensions of your breath.

Begin the Journey

Namaste Friends! We will start our Vilas here with you. What does Chitta Shakti Vilas mean exactly??? We are glad you asked.....
Chitta = Consciousness
Shakti = Energy
Vilas = Play

Combined = The Play of Consciousness with Energy
WOW!! Are you ready?

This week, we will start our play with the most common energy, the Breath. Then again the question arises...how is the breath energy? We are alive due to the breath, if the breath is missing, well, you understand.....so breath is a lifeforce (an energy). Start watching your breath at all times. Watch the pause between breaths. According to Tantra, breathing is life and the pause is GOD. So start watching your life and GOD.
